Free Colorado Opioid Competency CME for 2025 Licensure Renewal

Copic is pleased to announce that we will be offering two free, 1-hour CME presentations live via Zoom regarding opioids. Medical providers may use these presentations to meet the two hours of training requirements as stated by the Colorado Medical Board for licensure renewal in 2025.

Per the Colorado Medical Board:
Every physician and physician assistant is required to complete at least two cumulative hours of training per renewal period in order to demonstrate competency regarding the topics/areas specified in section 12-30-114(1)(a), C.R.S. and 3 CCR 713-1 Rule 1.29.

These CME-accredited presentations given live via Zoom are scheduled as follows (all times are Mountain time):

Opioids I: Best practices for opioid and benzodiazepine management using state and CDC guidelines

  • 2/11/25: 6-7pm
  • 3/11/25: 6-7pm
  • 3/25/25: 12-1pm
  • 4/16/25: 5:30-6:30pm

Opioids II: Strategies for Reducing the Burden: Diagnosis, treatment, tapering and documentation for acute and chronic opioids and benzodiazepines

  • 2/12/25: 6-7pm
  • 3/12/25:6-7pm
  • 3/26/25: 12-1pm
  • 4/16/25: 6:30-7:30pm

Please mark your calendar and allow Copic to help you meet your two hours of training requirements for the 5/1/2025 to 4/30/2027 license cycle. We will be sending registration information to Colorado licensees for whom we have Copic identifications early in 2025, and are publicizing this opportunity through our organized medicine partners at the physician and APP licensee levels.

Copic is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Copic designates each LIVE activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
