Copic Double Feature – Mock Trial & Insights Symposium
Monday, May 19th & Tuesday, May 20th
The Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City
Meeting Room: Salt Lake A
Copic Mock Trial - Monday, May 19th 6:00pm - 9:00pm (MT)
Copic's Mock Trial program offers a look into the courtroom proceedings during a medical liability trial*. Each program is moderated by Copic’s Deputy General Counsel and offers an on-screen enactment of an actual trial featuring members of Copic's Defense Counsel team, Risk Management and Claims Departments, as well as practicing physicians. Attendees will serve as jury members, putting forth a verdict after hearing testimony from the plaintiff, an expert witness, and the defendant. Dinner will be served as part of the program.
*Please note, if you have recently attended a Mock Trial in 2023-2024, this program will feature the same case and program material (spinal epidural abscess diagnosis).
Copic Insights: A Half Day Symposium - Tuesday, May 20th 8:30am - 1:00pm (MT)
As part of our efforts to address the needs of key medical specialties, Copic has created a half-day conference to share our expertise with you on a variety of risk management topics. Our physician risk managers, patient safety risk managers, and other Copic team members will spearhead an interactive discussion on common and emerging high-risk scenarios and present illustrative cases based on actual medical liability lawsuits from Copic's files. Our goals are to keep you informed of critical risk areas, reduce your chance of being named in a lawsuit, offer insight to enhance your patient safety, and create a forum for providers to discuss challenges they are facing.
